Henry Clayton Price, 77 of Cawood, KY passed away on Wednesday evening of January 10, 2024 at his home while surrounded by his family.
Henry was born January 22, 1946 in Cawood to the late Jimmie and Annie Yoney Price. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. He was a former coal miner, but had worked many years as a self employed Carpenter. He enjoyed riding his four wheeler in the mountains, spending time with his family, and setting on the porch.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Clayton and Jamie Price; his sister, Rachel Shepherd; and his beloved dog, China.
He is survived by his loving companion of 42 years, Janet Owens of Cawood, children, Shannon Price of Owensboro, Henry (Amy) Price of Owensboro, Jason (Whitney) Owens of Cawood, and Clayton (Brittany) Owens of Hawesville. Grandchildren, Weston, Karah, Dallin, Emmalyn, Laney, James, and Isabella; Two special dogs that he loved dearly, Hank and Ellie. Henry is also survived by brothers, Jim (Karen) Price of Michigan , Don (Charlotte) Price of Georgia; Three Sisters, Shirley Pyecroft of London KY, Mary Price and Lois (Roy) Kilgore all of Cawood. Henry leaves a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Saturday (Jan. 13) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Private burial will be be Sunday at the Henry Price Cemetery in Cawood with Rev. Jerry Collins officiating. Military Rites will be observed by the Harlan Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Owens, Jason Owens, Henry Price, Weston Price, Jeremy Madon, and Chris Allen.
