Henry Canady

July 20, 1957 — January 14, 2016

Henry “Henpeck” Canady, 58 of Ages, Kentucky died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at his residence with his family by his side.  Henry was born July 20, 1957 son of the late L.B. Canady and Cordia “Kernie” Rowe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Henry Canady; brothers, Melvin Rowe, Billy “Rowe” Thompson, and Donald Ray Rowe, Jamie Canady; sisters, Bobbie Saylor, and Faye Rowe Suttles; niece, May Faye Bush; nephew, Bobby Rowe.

Left to mourn are his wife, Vickie “Penix” Canady of Ages; son, Richard Canady of Harlan; step-daughters he loved as his own, Kristalee Penix, Kelsey Penix, and Kaylin Penix all of Ages; grandchildren, Alex Canady of Georgia, Shane Canady, Alyssa Canady, Kaylynne Canady and Keira Canady all of Williamsburg; brothers, Jack (Bonnie) Rowe of Fort Knox, Walter Rowe of Georgia, L B (Nancy) Canady of Frankfort, Terry (Betty) Rowe of Georgia, Joe Row of Milwaukee, and Kenneth Rowe, Ovie (Brandy) Canady; sisters, Louise Schrader of Frankfort, Kathy (Stanley) Turner of Black Mountain, and Brenda Graham of Dayhoit; special friends who he thought of as a daughter Bethany Parker and Silas Bennett and their children Hayston Bennett, Macie Bennett, and Preston Bennett which he loved as his own grandchildren; special friends, Charles Penny of Pensylvania whom he thought of as a son, Rick Perkins of Coxton, Terry Perkins of Coxton, Vernon Mitchell of Coxton, and George Rigney of Ages; and special brother in law Jesse (Linda) Rigney of Ages. He leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.  Rev. Stan Nicely and Rev. Donnie Harrison will be officiating the services.

Interment will follow the funeral in the Evarts Memorial Gardens.
