Glen Tolliver, 85 of Bledsoe passed away Friday Nov. 10, 2017.
Glen was born September 14, 1932 in Bledsoe KY to the late James S. and Elizabeth Vanover Tolliver. He was a retired truck driver. A life-long resident of Bledsoe, Glen attended Loyall High School and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean war. Glen loved spending time with his family and being outdoors, especially working in his yard, as well as hunting and fishing.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Woods Tolliver; brothers, Delmar and Eugene Tolliver; sister, Ruth Rose.
He is survived by his loving children, Tony (Karen) Tolliver and Renee (Kevin) Griese; grandchildren, Dean (Beth) Tolliver, Spencer and Connor Griese; great grandson, Nolan Tolliver; sister, Bess Wilson; caregiver and special friends, Mary & Bill Burns; caregivers, Brittany Adkins and Jennifer Caldwell; he leaves a host of other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday (Nov. 14) in the chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Boggs and Rev. Mr.Tim Stout.
Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery at Bledsoe, KY with Tony Tolliver, Kevin Griese, Spencer Griese, Steve Tolliver, Terry Caldwell and Billy Ray Burns serving as Pallbearers. Military rites will be observed by the Harlan Honor Guard.
Visitation will be after 11:00 am Tuesday until time of service at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
