George Roger Thompson

George Roger Thompson, 63 of Cranks passed away Thursday June 20, 2019 at the Hazard ARH.

George Roger was born March 9, 1956 in Harlan to the late Monroe and Mary Burkhart Thompson. He was a Truck Driver for over 43 years and was the owner & operator of  KC Trucking. He believed in the Christian Faith.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Ed Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Smith; children, Roger Thompson (April), Jody Freeman Thompson, Katelyn Thompson (Adam) Chelsea Thompson (Jake); 3 grandchildren, Riley Owens, Kaiden Thompson, and Roger Thompson, Jr.; siblings, L.P. Thompson, Jerry Thompson (Linda), Johnny Thompson, Yvonne Warner (Bob), Kathy Hicks (James) Brad Thompson (Patricia) Belinda Thompson Burkhart; a host of nieces, nephews, others relatives including a special niece, Jackie Sizemore; special friends, Rob Rhymer, Gary Rhymer, Fred Smith, Steven Brock, and Wendell Middleton.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Saturday (June 29) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Memorial services will follow at 7:00 pm Saturday (June 29) in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Thompson-Rhymer Cemetery at Cranks, KY.
