Gary L. Smith

   Gary L. Smith, 63 of Grays Knob, KY passed away on Wednesday morning of May 24, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
   Gary was born May 6, 1960 in Harlan to the late Leroy and Josie Farmer Smith. He was a lifelong resident of Harlan and had work as a coal miner, having worked on several tipples in the area with the last being at Balken. He enjoyed hunting and 4 wheeling. 
   Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Pace and her husband Roger. 
   He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Deborah Creech Smith; his children, Jeremy (Christina) Smith and Katrina (Robbie Honeycutt) Smith; grandchildren, Cassidie Robinson, McKinnon "Mick" Smith and Nathaniel "Squeak" Honeycutt.
    A private service was held on May 25, 2023 in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. 
    Cremation was chosen under the direction of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
