Freddy Douglas

Curtis Frederick "Freddy" Douglas, 52 of Rio Vista passed away Tuesday morning of May 9, 2023 following a brief battle with cancer.
Freddy was born November 19, 1970 to Eugene Douglas and the late Betty Muncy Douglas. He was a life long resident of Harlan Co, done construction work all of his life, last working for Brackett Mobile Home Transport. He had been a former member of the Loyall and Sunshine Fire Departments.
Beside his mother he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Henry Muncy; grandmother, Helen Dickey; special uncle, Bobby Muncy; and his in laws, Arnold and Lucille Whitehead.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Malinda Whitehead Muncy; his father, Eugene Douglas; his siblings; Jeff Muncy, Rhena Wilson, Darrell (Kari) Douglas and Danny (Lindsey) Douglas; sister in law, Johanna (Harold) Lewis and Arnold (Mary) Whitehead; special friends, Virgil and Belinda Brackett; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Sunday (May 14) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 5:00 pm Sunday in the chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Albert Phillips and Bro. Ronnie Dale Shackleford officiating.
Burial will be 11:00 am Monday (May 15) in the Park Howard Cemetery at Wallins, KY.
