Fred Hensley
September 1, 1965 — August 28, 2016
Fred L. Hensley, 50 of Harlan passed away Sunday Aug. 28, 2016 at his home following a brief illness with cancer.
Fred was born September 1, 1965 in Indiana to James G. and Gloria K. Weinrank Hensley. He was a carpenter for 28 years in Knoxville, TN before moving back to Harlan.
He is preceded in death by his mother Gloria K. Weinrank Hensley; sister, Deborah Sue Hensley; brother, James Crist Hensley.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura Beth Hensley of Pineville; 3 grandchildren, Latoya Miniard of Molus, Ty and Shie Edwards of Pineville; his father, James G. Hensley of Wallins; 3 sisters, Elsie L. (Clyde) Hensley and Colieta K. (Edgar) Saavedra all of Wallins, Gloria K. (Steve) Baltimore of Harlan; 4 brothers, Crist Hensley of Pineville; Donald (Judy) Hensley of Wallins, William (Debra) Hensley of Sawbriar, James G. (Felichia) Hensley of Wallins; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday (Aug. 31) at the Bud Simpson Holiness Church in Wallins with the Rev. Don Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hensley Family Cemetery in Wallins.
Visitation is after 2:00 pm Tuesday (Aug. 30) at the Church until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
