Ernest Stewart

Ernest Stewart, 79, of Cawood, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. A lifelong resident of Cawood, Ernest was born April 16, 1935 son of the late Andrew and Rose Stewart.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachel Ernestine Stewart; one sister, Sudie Harber; and three brothers, Merle Stewart, George Pope Stewart and Harve Stewart
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Kathleen McMillian Stewart; son, Richard (Feliscia) Gibson of Drakesboro, KY; daughter, Rose (Larry) Stewart; and grandchildren, Larry Stewart, Jr., Jessica Rose Stewart, Shane Patrick Stewart, Richard Guy Gibson, Luke Michael Gibson. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives will also mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM also in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmy Thomas will officiate the services
Interment will follow the funeral in the Stewart Cemetery at Cawood, KY. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
