Elijah Smallwood
September 23, 1988 — April 2, 2016
Elijah Blu Smallwood, 27 of Evarts, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Akers; grandmother, Loretta Brewer Leonard; brother, Dustin Middleton; and aunt, Wanda Leonard. He believed in the Christian Faith.
Surviving are his mother, Charlene Williams; wife, Christal Nelson Smallwood; two sons, Sammuel Smallwood and Noah Smallwood; sister, Chance Short and wife Jamie Penny Short; brothers, Chad Akers and Johnathan Akers; nephew, Jamie Delph; niece, Tiana Penny; a host of aunts and uncles; and a special group of friends, The EBC Matt Testa and wife Crystal, Tyler Testa, Travis Vick, Jimmy Pike, Phillip Osborne and wife Amanda, Aaron Howard. A host of other family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Resthaven Cemetery. Brother T. J. Brewer will officiate the services.
