Earl J. Howard, 85 of Lawnvale passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 20, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

Earl was born September 19, 1940 to the late Morgan and Edna Breedlove Howard. He was retired from Jerrico Mining as a Diesel Mechanic and he believed in the Baptist Faith.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Howard Smith and her husband Tommy; mother in law, Francis Lynch; brother in law, Maynard "Cotton" Lynch; special family friend, Irma "Di" Wallace.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mattie Howard; daughters, Sandy Greene and David Jennings and Amy Howard England and Chuck; grandson, Sean Greene and Kayla; great granddaughter, Amelia Greene.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Tuesday June 23, 2026 at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm Tuesday June 23, 2026 in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Blevins officiating. Music will be provided by Lawana Blevins and Sean Greene

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday June 24, 2026 at the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Cemetery Chapel just prior to service time.
