Donald (Don) Joseph White, 67 of Loyall, KY went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon of August 9, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington with his wife Kathy, brother Rick, and sister in law, Brenda by his side.
Don was born December 8, 1954 in Pittsburg, PA and grew up in Buffalo, NY; Don was a devout Christian and member of the Loyall United Methodist Church where he taught the Men's Sunday School Class.
He is a graduate of Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, KY and he was retired school teacher and school bus driver for the Harlan Co. Board of Education. Don was well known in the area, having officiated many different sports in the 1st, 10th, and 13th Regions; he had also served as the 13th Region Basketball Assignor for 7 years.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Etta June White and William Dick White; brother, William Lawrence White; and mother in law, Betty June Fraley.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Kathy Fraley White of Loyall, KY; brother Rick (Debbie) White of Boiling Springs, SC; sister in law, Brenda (David) Sullivan of Loyall, KY; and his father in law, Clarence Fraley of Loyall, KY; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, church family and his referee brothers.
Visitation will be 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Friday (Aug. 12) at the Loyall United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm Friday (Aug. 12) at the Church with Rev. Arnold Hammons officiating.
The family request everyone to please wear a mask while in the church.
Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY with Jeff Sullivan, Mike Pace, Tyler Carmical, Chris Simpson, David Wireman, and Kevin Ball serving as Pallbearers.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class of Loyall United Methodist Church and his Refereeing Brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Ann’s Food Pantry, PO Box 261 Harlan, Ky 40831.
