Donald "Don" Larry Archer

Donald (Don) Larry Archer, age 78, Maryville, TN formerly of Smith, KY. passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. 

He dedicated 35 honorable years of service to the 134th Air Refueling Wing within the 134th Maintenance Group. Additionally, he retired after three decades of commitment to the Y12 National Security Complex. Don was a cherished member of the Oak Ridge Moose Lodge since 1978. 

He is survived by his loving companion, Lisa, and leaves behind a legacy of family: Twin Daughters: Mrs. Julie (Scott) Ellison of Monroe, MI and Mrs. Joy (Steven) Stewart of Zephyrhills, FL; Sons: Donald (Nida) Archer of Maynardville, TN and Larry Archer of West Palm Beach, FL; Grandchildren: Dustin Fisher, Mrs. Shailyn (Gage) Blake, Tanner (Brenna) Brown, Trevor (Ryleigh) McBee, Lexi Ellison, Gage Archer; Sister: Karen (Joe) Henderson of Smith, KY. 

A Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Saturday (Sept. 28) at the New Riverside Baptist Church at Smith, KY with Rev. Roger Clem officiating. Bro. Kenny Day will read the obituary. 

Military rites will be observed by the Harlan Honor Guard following the service at the Church.
