Diane Hill

Diane Allene Hill, 45 of Harlan went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2015 at the home of her parents in Totz, KY.

She was born November 26, 1970 to David Andrew and Mary Helen Baker Hill. She cherished her parents dearly.

Those preceding her in death are her grandparents, Jessie & Ruby Hill, Hazel Franks Hill, and Robert and Nola Baker; her great grandparents, Jessie and Pearl Barnes Hill, Anne Franks, and Alfred Roy Graham, Andy and Mary Baker, John and Martha Bowen.

Survivors are her parents, David and Mary Hill of Totz; siblings, Dennis (Kimberly) Dewayne Hill and Chastity (David) Hill Daukas; Nephews are Michael Andrew and Nathaniel Clayton Daukas; Aunts and Uncles, Sue Ellis, Shirley (Gene) Lattis, Mary Lynn Wayne, Chester Baker, Larry (Pat) Baker, Nettie (Gene) Petree, Robert (Lou) Baker, Sandy (Danny) Hill, Jack Clontz, Hermis “Scotty” (Lil) Scott, and John (Melody) Baker; one special namesake, Carly Diane Baker; she leaves a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Diane was baptized at the age of 16 and walked with God since that time. She was a 1988 graduate of Cumberland High School and Berea College. Thereafter, she was a loyal employee to the law office of Johnnie L. Turner for more than 20 years and enjoyed helping clients who came through the door. Diane was diagnosed with breast cancer in May, 1997 and fought the disease until the last day on earth. She taught hunter safety to many children from 1999-2009 and she taught the Kentucky Concealed Deadly Weapons Class from 1999-2015. She was a TRUE BLUE Kentucky Wildcat fan and always made time to watch their games.

Diane requested each of you celebrate each day of life instead of joining in any memorial service. She also hoped this is not goodbye but simply until we meet again in Heaven.

Visitation will be Wednesday (Dec. 23) from 5 until 8:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 Thursday (Dec. 24) in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Burnette and Rev. Arnold Martin officiating. Music will be provided by Seth Carmical and Kimberly Hill.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith with Paul Pruitt, Ronnie Pruitt, John Wesley Pruitt, Larry Baker, Jr., Johnnie Turner, Jr., Chris Garland, and Jamie Causey serving as Pallbearers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny and Lonnie Hill, Sr and the Staff of Johnnie L. Turner Law Office.
