Damon Ray "Rabbit" Williams, 47 of Cranks passed away Friday evening of August 18, 2023 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY following a brief illness.
Damon was born November 29, 1975 in Springfield, OH to the late Danny Ray and Bobby Jean Jackson Williams. Proudly following in his fathers footsteps, he was the Owner & Operator of Damon Williams Trucking, Inc. and member of the Gulston Church of God. Like his father he was a hard working man who enjoyed spending time with his family and helped anyone he could if they needed it.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Maggie Williams and Betty Jackson; special cousins, R. Dewayne Jackson and Doyle Vandagriff; his mother in law, Tammy Rice.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lola Keith Williams; children, Lucy Williams and Johnny Williams; special daughter, Emma Kay Williams; mom, Pam Williams; brother, Justin Ray Williams; sisters, Jyssica Williams (Darby) Bennett and Annabelle Williams; nieces and nephews, Brookelyn and Parker Farley, Lucas and Greyson Bennett; father in law, James H. Keith; brother in law, James D. Keith; he leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Doyle officiating.
Burial will be 12:00 pm Wednesday at the Harlan County Memorial Gardens at Lay Hill. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 11:30 am to proceed to the cemetery in funeral procession.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Williams, Ralph Martin, PJ Garrett, Arthur Engle, David Brock, Jason Begley and Austin Farmer.
