Clifford Roland Russell, Jr

Clifford Roland Russell, Jr., 69 of Harlan, Kentucky died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.  He was born March 17, 1948 in Harlan, Kentucky son of the late Clifford and Viredia Russell.

He was the owner and operator of Russell Construction where he was well known for his masonry work since the age of 14.  He was treasurer, Deacon, and Sunday school teacher for the Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tommy Truitt.  Surviving are his wife, Barbara Ann Holden Russell; children, Wendy Brock, Crystal Brock & Brad Peterson, Cathy Green & Jack Lundy, Kenny Green, Debbie Belcher & Billy Belcher, Randy Green & Lisa Green, Frank Green & Stephanie Green, and Jennifer Williams and John Williams; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are his brother, Hiram William Russell & Shari; and sisters Sarah Gayle Williams & Walt, Sandra Ruth Truitt, and Viredia Rebekah Causey & Ed.  A host of nieces, nephews and cousins will also mourn his passing.

Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM also in the chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.  The Rev. Jim Johnson will officiate the services.

Interment will be Saturday, January 27 at 1:00 PM in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, Kentucky.  Shawn Warren, Tristin Brock, Frank Green, Jack Lundy, and Jason Whitaker will serve as pallbearers.
