Brenda Gail Neal

October 20, 1948 — January 13, 2026

Corbin, KY formerly of Wallins

Our beloved sister, Brenda Gail Neal of Corbin, Kentucky, stepped through the portals of heaven on January 13, 2026 at her home. She was the fourth daughter of eight children born October 20, 1948 to Robert H. and Nellie Scott Neal of Creeches, Ky.

Brenda was multi-talented and had many interests, Upon graduation at UK from dental school, she both worked and taught as a surgical dental technician. She attended nursing school and later in life earned a BS and worked in manufacturing.

She was an expert seamstress creating beautiful suits that fit to perfection. She was most at home in the kitchen, and delighted in sharing meals and creations from her oven with others, She established a small business selling her special cheesecakes. During Christmas you would find her making cheese balls, cheese cakes, and confections to supply her customers.

Foremost, Brenda was a child of God and shared her favorite scriptures with her siblings. She possessed and unshakable faith in our creator, a limitless love for family, and an unquenchable desire to right the wrongs and preserve the life of this Republic. She prayed incessantly for her family, her friends, and this nation, Her kindness and compassion was exhibited by the care she gave to our mother and others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Norma Jean Neal and daughter, Audra R. Neal-Doss, brothers James (Jim) RIchard and Robert (Bob) Neal. Brother-in-laws; James Hoskins and Maurice C. Hoskins. Nephew, Gerald Edward Hoskins. Special friend, Glenn Thomas Rice.

Brenda was twice married; to Jerry W. Motte of Birmingham and briefly to Roland VenEmple.

As sisters, we share an unbreakable bond and will miss her ever day until we are united again, Mary Lee Hoskins, Bainbridge, OH, Margaret (Bruce) Johnson, Concord, NC, Martha S. (Glen) Doss, and Patricia (John) Carey, both of Port Orange, FL., Deborah Lee Neal of Lexington, Kentucky.

Other members who mourn her passing include cousins, nieces and nephews. We are grateful for our sister Mary and her daughters, Paula and Pamela Hoskins who have lovingly cared for her during her long illness.
