Bobby "Bud" Ray Dixon

Bobby Ray 'Bud" Dixon, age 85 of Harlan, Ky passed away to enter his heavenly home on Sunday evening February 1, 2026 at the Harlan ARH hospital.

Bud was born on May 29, 1940 in Evarts, Ky. to the late Grant Dixon and Lidie Clark Dixon. He was a retired employee of Lester Phillips Coal sales and Giles moving and storage. Worked for a special angel Donna Hoskins for many years. He attended Cornerstone Community Church and Teetersville Baptist Church.

Besides his parents he is proceeded in death by brothers Clyde Dixon and Jerry Wayne Dixon. Proceeded in death by his sister Lillian Osborne.

Survived by two brothers James (Shelia) Dixon Harlan Ky. Kenneth (Pamela) Dixon Harlan, Ky, Survived by sisters Josepha "Boots" Branson Apopka, Florida. Joyce (Leroy) Saylor Harlan, Ky. Wanda Dixon Knoxville, Tn. He leaves a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends including two special friends Ronnie Hampton and Donna Hoskins.

Visitation will be 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Thursday (Feb. 5) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. A song service will be from 6 pm-7 pm. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Paul White and Rev. Jeff Mills officiating.

Graveside services will be on Friday (Feb 6) at 1:00 pm at Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, Ky. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 to go in processions to the cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers as Dr Khan, Dr Ganti, Dr Depa the staff's of the Harlan Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and the ICU Nurses at the Harlan ARH. Special thanks to Gail Hensley and Dana Miller at Harlan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
