Billy Wayne Hensley, SR. 56 of Gulston passed away Friday Jan. 1, 2016 at his home.
Billy was born September 2, 1959 in Harlan, KY. He was a carpenter by trade, believed in the Church of God faith, and enjoyed hunting. He was an avid University of Kentucky Fan.
He was preceded in death by Willse and Emma Pace Hensley whom raised him; his father, George Gilbert Hensley; daughter, Rachel Hensley; and sister, Barbara Hensley.
He is survived by 3 children, Shannon (Tim) Jenkins of Cumberland, Billy Wayne (Brittany) Hensley, JR of Georgia, and Daniel Lee Hensley of Georgia; grandchildren, Grayson Hensley, Rachel, Hannah, Rebecca, Jeremiah, and William Jenkins; sister, Tracey Hensley of Cawood; Very special “sister” Lisa (Tony) Boggs; special “brothers” Greg Ealy, Brian Anglian, Gilbert Hensley, and Stanley Hensley. He leaves other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Saturday (Jan. 2) from 5 until 7:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wayne Smith officiating.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am Sunday (Jan.3) at the Pace Cemetery at Gulston.
