Billy Joe Helton, 69 of Cawood passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015 at the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
Billy Joe was born June 6, 1946 in Harlan to the late Rev. Charlie and Roxie Nolan Helton. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by 3 sisters, Esta Mae Griffin, Peggy J. Harris, and Mildred Chaney; 2 brothers, Charles and Thomas Helton.
He leaves behind 1 brother, Gene (Eva) Helton of Georgia; 3 sisters, Margie Rolfes of Cawood, Francis (Evert) Snow of Indiana and Dorothy Helton of Indiana; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be after 4:00 pm Tuesday (Nov. 24) at the Cawood Church of God Mountain Assembly.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday (Nov. 25) at the Church with Rev. Franklin Stewart officiating.
