Betty Ruth Peck

   Betty Ruth Peck, born June 18, 1942 to the late Sherman Peck Sr. and Myrtle Shoemaker Peck in Keith, KY. She had lived here all her life. 

   She is preceded in death by her brother, Rossy Peck; sisters-in-law, Wanda Peck and Joyce Peck; sister, Phyllis Duncan; brother-in-law, Charles Duncan; niece, Cindy Noe; nephews, Shane Peck and Chris Duncan; and a great nephew, Austin Duncan. Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Barbara Noe of Keith, KY; brother, Sherman Peck Jr. of Keith, KY; nephews, David Peck, Derrick Noe, Allen Duncan, Val Duncan, and Shawn Peck; nieces, Robin McMillian, Kristie Noe, Wendy Seal, and Tracy Eldridge; special great nephews, Jacob, Isaac, Jordan, Luke Eldridge, and Eric Hall; special great nieces, Courtney Middleton and Lindsey Williams; special great-great nieces, Naomi and Ivy Middleton, and Sophia Williams. She also leaves behind a host of other great nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. 

   She was a faithful church goer until the dementia interfered with her keeping up with the days of the week. Bet was a friend to all of us kids growing up. She was always ready to shoot basketball, twirl a jump rope, or build a fort on the hillside. If you were a kid, you got to be the boss with Bet. She would carry a chair all over the yard to find shade just so the boys could push cars in the dirt. You could tell Bet anything, she was a great listener and she could pop off a good joke once in a while too. 

   Visitation will be Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Eldridge Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Shoemaker Cemetery of Keith, KY with Jacob, Isaac, Jordan, Luke, David Peck, Gregory Eldridge, and Derrick Noe serving as pallbearers.
