Bennie William Johnson was born on March 18, 1977 in Dowagiac, Michigan. He was the son of Bennie Johnson, Jr. and Edna Helton Johnson who survive of East Bernstadt, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife loving wife, who he cherished for over 30 years – Shannon Farmer Johnson of East Bernstadt and two children; Logan Tyler Johnson and Ashton Melton and husband Josh. In addition to his wife and children Bennie is survived by one grandfather; Bennie Johnson, one sister; Martha Anderson, a sister-in-law; Amanda (Casey) Moore, his father-in-law; Freddie Farmer of Totz, Kentucky, special uncles; Billy Johnson and Jim (Dee) Stallard, special aunts; Avonna Freeman and husband Raymond, Linda (David) Blevins, Geraldine Barnett and Janie Lake, nephews; Hunter, Nathan and Benjamin Gilpin and Bryson, Brevin and Andy Moore, special friends; Ken Turner, Brent Senters, Aaron Storm, Astyn Adkins, J.D. Nichols and Kevin Gregory. He was affectionately known as “Pops” to his grandchildren who he adored; Alijah, Jaxton Tyler, Maverick, Jagger, Rhyse and Rhynleigh Kate.

Bennie is preceded in death by three grandparents; Viola Johnson and William and Martha Helton.

Bennie worked as a tool and die supervisor at Linamar Light Metals in Asheville, North Carolina and was of the Holiness Faith.

Bennie William Johnson departed this life on Thursday, October 9, 2025 being 48 years, 6 months and 22 days of age.

Funeral Services for Bennie William Johnson will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Hoskins, Jerry McKinley Holland and Dalton Payne officiating. Burial will follow at the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.

The family of Bennie William Johnson will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home beginning at 6 pm Monday.

Serving as Pallbearers will be his nephews: Hunter, Nathan and Benjamin Gilpin and Bryson, Brevin and Andy Moore and Wesley Branson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brent Senters, Astyn Adkins, Ken Turner, Aaron Storm, Kevin Gregory and Linamar Tool Shop Team.
