Barbara Jean Smith, 61 of Tremont passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at her home with family by her side.
Barbara was born August 17, 1953 at Greasy Creek in Leslie Co., KY to the late Charlie and Ava Williams Witt and was a homemaker.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Witt; sister, Teresa Witt.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Joe Smith and Wife Melissa of Evarts, KY and Samuel Jason Smith of Indiana; grandchildren, Nicki Joe Smith and Kenneth Franklin Jacob Smith; step grandson, Seth Lonas; 3 brothers, Johnny Witt and wife Brenda of Big Laurel, Charlie Witt, Jr and wife Jamie of Speedwell, TN, Jesse Witt and Ann of Bledsoe; sisters, Francis Manners and Chris of Huntsville, AL, Sue Miniard and husband Steve of Harlan, Lisa Chappell and husband Ken of Bunker, Missouri, Joy Witt of Corbin, KY and Mary Caldwell of Kettle Island, KY.
Visitation will be Wednesday July 22, 2015 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Keith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Asher Cemetery at Watts Creek.
Pallbearers will be Doug Asher, Sr., Doug Asher, II, Nicki Joe Smith, Michael Clifton, Brandon Witt, Jesse Witt, and Charlie Witt, Jr.
