Barbara Ellen Young, 68 of Loyall passed away Tuesday Feb. 28, 2017 at her home.
Barbara was born July 28, 1948 in Middlesboro, KY to the late Ray and Margaret Young Johnson. She was retired from the Harlan Nursing Home as a dietician after 13 years of service. She attended the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Willis Byrd Hensley, Jr; brothers, Steve and Ira Ray Johnson.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Hensley and Penny Hensley; 4 grandchildren, Allen and Dustin Hensley, Tyler Middleton, and Brittany Sweatt; 4 grandchildren, Aria Estep Hensley, Kirsynn Locke, Micah and Malicah Hensley; 1 brother, Boyd Johnson; 3 sisters, Teresa Brock, Georgia Johnson, and Charlene Jones; she leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm Saturday (March 4) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Garlington officiating.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday (March 6) at the Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY with Allen Hensley, Dustin Hensley, Tyler Middleton, Tony Sweatt, Brandon Bargo, and Roy Jones serving as Pallbearers.
